Fourth of July

We had a busy and super fun Fourth of July. It started off with a neighbor breakfast. We invited all the neighbors on our street over for breakfast. It was potluck style so we had so much fun and everyone left with a full stomach.

Weston was in charge of making the pancakes and he had a little helper- Walter.

Here are a couple pictures of the neighbors that came

We then went off to the ward BBQ. You may notice in the pictures that Walter and Hunter are wearing the T-shirts that we made earlier in the week. The Primary had planned some games like a potato sack race, three-legged race and water word search.

Then in the evening we got together with our neighbors the Hempy's and went to Stillwell to see the fireworks. We both made make-shift beds in the back of our vans. Hunter and Walter just love spending time with Thomas, Elle and Caroline.

Happy Fourth of July!!

Artists at Work

Today a couple of my neighbors and I got together to have the kids paint Fourth of July T-shirts. The idea came from Family Fun. It was great-the kids had so much fun painting and creating (well my boys were more interested in playing with friends, but I did get some cute pictures of Hunter) It was super easy with the freezer paper, we didn't have to worry about the kids painting outside the lines. We just peeled the paper off and the shirts looked awesome. I hope everyone had fun and that we can do something like this again.

I'm so excited to have them wear their shirts on the Fourth.

Walter's First Hair Cut

It was past time for Walter's First Hair Cut. I decided to take him to Shear Madness, because I heard that it was a good place to take kids. It was fun for the first hair cut, but I'm not sure I'll go there every time. They had Walter sit in a fire engine and for the most part he enjoyed it, he just had a hard time keeping is head still.

Fun with Cousins

So the second week of May- I know I'm behind- Weston's sister Andrea and family came for a weekend visit. We had so much fun going to the circus and Deanna Rose and the Arboretum. Hunter and Walter loved ever minute that they spent with Spencer, Ashleigh and Amelia.
We hope you guys come to visit again. Enjoy the pictures

First Step

Walter took his first step on Saturday May 9th. He took three steps in a row right towards his Uncle Doug. We were all surprised and very happy. He hasn't done it since but I'm sure it will come soon.

Garden Time

So a couple of weeks ago I went to an Enrichment class about gardening at the Thueson's house. They have a beautiful garden and answered alot of questions. I left the class inspired and ready to begin gardening. Well after another visit to the Thueson's house, so that Weston could see the raised beds and ask Kevin how he built them, we(mostly Weston) got to work. Our backyard is smaller then the Thueson's so instead of the 8 garden beds they have, we decided to build four. Weston worked really hard (I wish that I could say that I helped more), but we are about ready to plant. We just want to put up a fence so that the bunnies don't eat our plants.

Hunter really enjoyed helping is dad. And Walter was really good about just sitting in his stroller and watching.
